  • Summary: Great unit if you are just beginning. Easy to use, easy to hack, and tons of different things can be done.

TOTAL PIECE OF JUNK!

Joseph H. Armstrong, Amazon
29 July 2011
  • Summary: I bought this unit to replace my wife's stock radio. Installation went smoothly, the most difficult part was removing the trim. THEN I TURNED IT ON AND IT WENT DOWNHILL FROM THERE! First, it would reboot whenever we had the iPod playing video, then it would reboot even if the iPod was connected and not playing, and then it continued to freeze and reboot regardless of function selected.

Save your Money

Calzilla82, Amazon
13 December 2010
  • Summary: This receiver was a problem from the start. I had to send it back to Pioneer to be fixed and they sent me somebody else's in return which was older based on the serial number. Slow start up and freezes at times. When the unit worked, it worked well. But it should have worked all the time. That's why I paid for a Pioneer and not a Jensen.

this unit is great

phoenix1426, Ebay
1 December 2010
  • Summary: this unit has it all bluetooth, gps, ipod integration, etc. the only feature i wish it had was a dvd player. However if you really like Avic products and you dont want to spend a grand amount of money for the z series or x series the f series is a great alternative. it may not be the fastest of the bunch but it gets the job done. if anything i would recomend the f90 or f900 due to speed. anyways...for a cheap alternative to the z110bt or z1 z2 etc this is good.

Excellent value price/quality

greg_starwatch, Ebay
2 November 2010
  • Summary: Excellent unit quality (even if that Chinise made). Outstanding expandability options. Acceptable Signal/noice level and low harmonic distortion. Software is not bad (but some bugs still present - internal processes priority alghoritm). Overal sound quality - very good. Navigation wirks great - no major issues. Maps accurate (even from 2008). Samantha TTS voice required correction (improvement)- overdistorted. Heandsfree is out of competition.

Good Overall

Andrew, Amazon
7 August 2010
  • Summary: Once you update to FW 3.0 the system is great. My only complaint is that each time you turn on the car it takes like 2 minutes to read and generate a listing for all your songs off your ipod (only if you are using the ipod cable)

Several issues - No maps from outside US

John Cifuentes "John", Amazon
30 June 2010
  • Summary: The product functionality is great. The concept, the value for the money. But the unit has several quality issues. My bluetooth stopped working after a year use and had to send it for service cause it started to boot over and over. Hope pioneer improves these products. Honestly I would think twice after buting another unit from them.

Pioneer F700BT

tarunpatel03, Ebay
31 May 2010
  • Summary: I would say this deck is so user friendly. Anyone can use it. The maps are easy to read and for me having a USB jack makes it more awsome. Great deck money we'll spent.

Avoid this product AVIC-F700BT if you can

Wanyan, Amazon
28 May 2010
  • Summary: I have not found other in-car product as annoying to use as this one. The GPS features are much inferior to other products such as Magellan. The audio sound quality is bad. You can't turn off the radio with a single click anywhere. This is especially annoying during the period when the system is slowly starting up. The bluetooth annoys your listener even more than it does to you. The GPS navigation is way too chatty, speaking 5 phrases every single turn.
