Summary: Lost nearly all functionality in this unit. Only the radio and CD player work still work. Sound quality is fine but not spectacular. Turn wheel is very sensitive. Sometimes the volume goes up when turned to the right, other times is goes down. Backlighting is much too bright and creates eye fatigue. There is no option to adjust this. Vehicle warning sounds were also altered by this unit, such as "Door Ajar", "Seatbelt Unbuckled". They are very loud and obnoxious now.
Summary: I LOVE AVIC-D3'S I BUY THESE FOR EVERY SINGLE CAR I HAVE EVER OWNED! VERY USER FRIENDLY. HAS MANY FEATURES, PLUS MANY OPTIONS YOU CAN ADD, SUCH AS REAR CAMERA AND BLUETOOTH AS WELL AS IPOD HOOKUP.
Summary: I have no complaints about this product. It has everything a headunit should have. I've been using it for nearly 2 years since my purchase without any problems or headaches. I don't think you can get a better unit for the price. Definitely bang for for the buck. I highly recommend this to others.
Summary: I purchased the AVIC D3 about 2 years ago from Best Buy. About 8 months ago the Pre Amp outputs fried and no longer work. Then 2 month after that the DVD/CD drive decided to stop working also. Unfortunately I love Pioneer and will be purchasing another unit!!
Summary: Purchased because I wanted to have a nice DVD/Navigation head unit that functioned well and didn't have any goofy quirks like a lot of the newer units do. This unit functions flawlessly and the navigation works great. Even though the navigation is on two DVD's (East & West Coast) you can still program a route then remove the navigation DVD and it will hold the route. If you do go off the route it stores ~1 or 2 miles away from the route as well.
