Summary: I bought this with my Xmas and bday money combined; for me it was expensive. I ignored the fact that it was a GPS (cause it requires more money to get), and thanks to my house's WiFi network, was able to get it on the 'Net within 1 hour of recieving the package. The webpages are a little messed up unless they come in a ".mobi" or a "m.website.com" format, but many major sites offer that. Just search '__________ mobile', and a alternative might come up.
Summary: After having purchased a Garmin M3 pda with integrated GPS (and reviewing it for Ebay), I thought that I would give a unit from Pharos a try. I own several add-on GPS units from Pharos and have had pretty good results. The Pharos unit I acquired is the Traveler PTL535e. The pda specs are middle range (3.5" qvga screen, 312mhz xscale processor, 128mb flash rom and 64mb sdram, wi-fi). It runs Windows Mobile 5.0.
Summary: BUY THIS PRODUCT! That is of course, if you are familiar with computers. It does not come with GPS software and you have to essentially set up everything on this unit. Be prepared to spend at least a full week trying to not only set up the device, but to use all of it's features as well. However, for the price, this is the best deal in town.
Summary: This device has everything for the busy person, whther you work from home or in an office. The entertainment features are nice, and there is practically no learning curve. Security on this device is wonderful, and the Windows Mobile platform is actually a lot less quirky than XP or Vista (whodathunk? LOL) If charged correctly, the battery lasts for well over 8 hours, and the touch screen keyboard is very responsive.
