Summary: I bought this for my wife but had to try it out myself first. This little unit is great!I went offroading with it the other day and it showed every road we went on.I was not expecting that because my garmin doesn't do that.I was sold right there plus it has an mp3 player, expansion slot and if your lost and have to call someone it gives you latitude, longitude and altitude.
Summary: This is an easy to use GPS but if you are looking for continued updates to your maps I suggest you look elsewhere as Nextar offers little support and no updates they support the old adage "you get what you pay for". As far as usage the P3 is as easy to use as any other GPS system and appears to be a pretty solid built unit if the tech support was better I would rate them as excellent as the unit itself is very nice.
Summary: This was my first GPS and I was excited to receive it. Out of the box it was easy to set up and was attractive. It has good features. However, it has lots of room for improvement. 50% of the time it freezes up while I am driving, I get fatal errors and it doesn't hold a charge very well. It also takes a long time to get a satellite pick-up. I need something dependable and this unit is not.
Summary: I loved the product it came in quick and in mint condition. However, i disliked the fact that I found the product just outside my door when no one was there. Someone could have stolen it, fortunately, they didn't.
Summary: I got this item as a Christmas present and it broke before April was over. Although it comes with a one year warranty the company charges $25 to repair it and send it back to you. That's 30 percent of what it costs new. Be careful about buying Nextar. Easily the most disappointing piece of electronics I have owned since, well ever. If I could give it 0 stars I would.
Summary: I received the P3 for Xmas 2007. I was very impressed with the accuracy and ease of use for the first week while driving to and from work and stores. On my first long trip (3 hours) the unit kept freezing and had to be turned off and on around 20 times during the trip. On most reboots we had to wait 3-4 minutes for it to pick up a new signal. Twice it came up with a "Fatal Software Error" on the screen. I called Nextar and they said my unit was defective.
