ok. GPS given the price, though crashed multiple times.

Summary: This is my first GPS, and I'm ok. with it, given the price. It crashed two times when driving (both when going to Dallas around Waco. I had to reset it. And once it completely went silent, and I had to do another reset. Fortunately reset is easy, through a switch on the back, but resets loses your preferences (but not favorites, fortunately). Every time I reset, I have to go and change time zone, display etc.
Summary: Works very nicely. Recalculates your route fast if you make a wrong turn etc. I disagree sometimes with the route it takes, but all GPS systems have that fault I am told. I live in a city where there is no grid system at all (Pittsburgh, PA) so this comes in very handy. It could be a bit louder to hear over the stereo, but at $140 I'm not complaining too much.
Summary: So far I am very pleased with the operation of the Nextar HGPS35 3.5 inch navigation system. We took a 400 mile trip and it guided us directly to our destination. It called out all the turns and streets, etc. and made the trip very enjoyable. Looking forward to years of guidance from this gps system.
Summary: This is is the 1st gps I've ever used. It's fairly simple to use and gives accurate instructions(so far, I've only used it a few times) It's easy to see during dalight hoursand better at night. The voice is clear and legible. The volume however,is a little short and it makes it difficult to hear in a rainstorm. Overall I think it's agreat value at $139.99.
Summary: I like this GPS unit. It is accurate and the computer generated voice is really pretty pleasant. For the price that we got it at, it is great. The text to voice is awesome-so instead of saying, "exit on the right" it will say "exit on the right onto I-70 east." Quite helpful. As it is a more inexpensive model, it could use a few more points of interest, but I believe you can upload them.
Summary: What seems to be an excellent value for money is dogged by quality problems and hardware issues. Mine worked flawlessly for a week when I took it on a trip across 3 states NY, NJ, and PA. Super fast lock on to Satellite signals and fast re-routing etc. with text-to-speech i.e. street names clearly pronounced. Without any reason it started crashing every now and then and wouldn't startup anymore. Hope they get their product quality issues under control.
Summary: I bought this gps and was happy at first, worked great, but the 4th time i went to turn it on it got stuck in "Loading" mode and will not reset....I called Nextar tech support and they said the only way to reset was to shut off the rear switch...did not work. to get a replacement gps through Amazon your looking at LATE OCTOBER......
Summary: My first GPS and this one looks and functions great. The only issue I have so far is the fact the literature states software to interface with the unit. It didn't come with any software in the box, so I called nextar, and they claimed it was a 'mistake'. I asked about the promised nextar map updates that will eventually showup on the nextar web-site.

Summary: I got this product two days ago. tested locally. Very accurate. I was using the same software on my PDA for a while(Iguidance). I am very happy with the software. It must be using iguidance 4.0 internally. Fast startup. Fast route re-calculation. I got 6 satellites even inside my house. My son was holding it on the back seat while I was driving. It worked very well. Test to speech is very accurate (So far).
