Summary: I used the Navman 320 on a 900 mile trip. It worked perfectly. This is an amazing GPS unit for the price. Screen is clear and bright and it is very easy to program. It picked up the smallest details on turns and routes. I looked at the Tom-tom and Garman which were much more expensive. I'm sure they are good units also, but I can't see how they can provide a better GPS experience at 3x the price.
Summary: The sound is so good that I can hear it when wearing it in a bum bag on my Vespa. Battery life is reported at 3 - 4 hours, not a problem for my typical 1 hour trips. The reviewer below is correct - you must stand still and let it find the satellites before you set off. TIP: it always looks first where it looked last, hence always have it on for the return trip even if you don't need it.
Summary: I am somewhat amazed at some of the negative comments on this product. I have had the 320 for some weeks now and have found it to be a very reliable and accurate navigator. I live in the Blackpool area and have used the 320 on trips as far afield as north of Penrith, extensively around the Lake District and the Trough of Bowland and to inner cities such as Manchester and Liverpool.
Summary: Being new to the sat nav generation, I dont think i could have bought a better unit for the price. I have found the navman icn320 so easy to use, and it's direction and navigation has been completely spot on. Although it only calculates for one route when initially set and does not offer a choice of routes, i have found that if you have an idea of a different route to one initialy calculated by the unit, and you take your own route, the unit will initially prompt to take...
Summary: One review says that he strugles to get a signal when in the car. This could be down to the type of windscreen fitted to the vehicle. to rule this out i suggest trying it out in a different vehicle. If it works in another vehicle then you require an external ariel fitted to your car. I donot know if one is available for this model gps system so i recommend contacting the manifacturer or checking the manual.
Summary: I bought the Navman 320 and am amazed at it capabilities especially given its price. It very quickly found the satellites and gave very clear directions. It is also excellent at recalculating the route if you go astray. My advice, if you are new to sat nav is buy this unit at the price you can't go wrong and its performance is excellent!!
Summary: Just started using this SatNav and finding it lots of fun and very useful. When travelling in unfamiliar areas it's great to just sit back and let the Navman do the work. You type in about the first five digits of the post code to narrow down the search and then enter the street name. If you don't know the post code just enter the street name.
Summary: Like most people I wanted a GPS system. I could not justify spending lots on money and only use it 2 or 3 time a week. Theres lots to choose and lots of different prices but this one is fab. I thought what was wrong with it for this price - I am still havent found out. The only thing is has not got is a touch screen and remote but those are for lazy people anyway!! I love it and would recommend it to anyone. Even my wife can use it!!!
Summary: Purchased as a chirstmas gift for a family member. The person is not technical minded and, reported back that for his first in-car navigation system he was highly impressed with its ease of use and accuracy. In particular he mentioned the clear voice guided direction, which left you to concentrate on road conditions and not be distracted looking for the next turn. The back-on-track feature of the unit was constantly tested, and getting lost seems not to be a option.
