Don't Get It

Jackie, Amazon
5 August 2007
  • Summary: I've had this device for about two years now. It's been nothing but a problem. At first, it worked perfectly but after about 6-8 months, it started to stop working. It doesn't register until after a few minutes, doesn't recognize where I am randomly, will direct me the wrong way and then recalculate the route. The maps are very outdated and I am constantly an "unknown road" or looking for "unknown road" (this happens on major highways!).

Not good enough

Liszt, Amazon
5 August 2007
  • Summary: I was really pleased to get the Navman iCN item, but getting it to work is a real problem. The first problem, if I set off for a new address I could drive to it, about 5 miles, without it establishing a GPS link. In other words no life except it saying "testing". The second problem, it seems to have a problem working out where it is, then when it does these appeares to the brain inside the box, an intersection, which gets no response at all.

Great for the money!!

Blind Mellow Jelly "-BMJ", Amazon
5 August 2007
  • Summary: I bought this just before the holidays to see if I really needed a GPS for my travels, thinking that if I really needed a good GPS, I would spring for a more expensive model. I found that there is really no need to update to a more expensive model! this is a great no-frills GPS. Sure, it doesn't have a hard drive or an .mp3 player, but it does everything a GPS should and pretty well at that. The unit is light and intuitive to use.

Not Impressed

Dayle A. Thompson "Nanaskid", Amazon
5 August 2007
  • Summary: This product was defective and never worked properly. It wanted us to turn left when right was appropriate. The directions popped up and were easy to use so I think if the product was working properly, it would be a great buy. We sent ours back and chose another brand.

Good product for its price

Richard Recinto, Amazon
5 August 2007
  • Summary: Got an ICN 320 just before the Labor Day weekend and got to use it for our trip to Wisconsin. This was our first road trip where I did not bring a map, I had to put our full trust on this product during the entire trip. Happy to say that it did not let us down. The missed-turn navigation is also useful since there were a couple of times where I missed a turn (both intentional and unintentional). It automatically redirects us to the new turns within a few seconds.

Precision GPS

Richard Waters, Amazon
5 August 2007
  • Summary: I used the Navman 320 on a 900 mile trip. It worked perfectly. This is an amazing GPS unit for the price. Screen is clear and bright and it is very easy to program. It picked up the smallest details on turns and routes. I looked at the Tom-tom and Garman which were much more expensive. I'm sure they are good units also, but I can't see how they can provide a better GPS experience at 3x the price.
