Summary: it has been worth every cent I paid for it. it hasn't been updated but still has most of what is needed. son carried it in his pocket and used it in Boston a few years ago and found every place he needed to. great starter for someone without a lot of money if they still sell them.
Summary: Good luck trying to get an updated map for this product. I loved my unit when I first bought it, the size, features, etc. Now that it is 4 years old, it needs a map update. I can't get one anywhere, even at Navigon's site.
Summary: This is not the best GPS on the market, but what you pay for it, it is the best value. I have riden in a new chevrolet with the manufactures GPS, and this one does not compare. I only paid $100.00 for mine vs. $3000.00 in the new vehicles, and it has not failed to take me to any address thus far. The maps could be updated, any new road in the past two years has failed to show up, in this situation the thing constantly demands you to make a u-turn.
Summary: I am with the US Army in Europe and this device has been a Godsend. It is perfect for the car and when we get out to walk it is small enough to carry with you. You can also switch it from "car" to "walking" so it knows you can walk along paths and across open areas that a car can't drive. I understand some people have had a slow response. When it is first turned on that is true, but once it finds the satellites it seems to be quick enough.
Summary: I liked my Navigon loox 100 so much I ended up buying one for my wife and one for my son. My only real complaint is the input keyboard is arranged in alphabetical order instead of the standard keyboard layout which we are all used to. Some times the route is not exactly the same as I would go on my own but nonetheless it gets you there. Support for it is minimal though, I wish there were an easy way to get an external antenna and back up battery.
Summary: It's not the best gps out there but if you are looking for something cheaper than $300, this is the one to go for. It is slow starting up, and a couple roads have been out of date but overall it has worked really well! The screen is very colorful and nice, it has lots of features I like (speed limits, directions if you are walking, night time dimmer) It fits in pocket perfectly and I don't feel like I need a bigger screen at all.
Summary: The Navigon LOOX is surprisingly good for the price. This GPS is quite accurate and pleasant to use. It has some quirks, but when you become familiar with it, you will wonder how you got along without it. As with all GPS, it sometimes takes you the long way, but I have found it to be quite accurate. Changing from state to state is tedious. You have to follow a rigid sequence when entering a new address: City, street, then number.
Summary: Very good you can't expect anything better for such a low price it does probably what a high end product does do, very sensitive doesn't need a flip out antenna it picks up signal even inside constructions, the only flaw is that it does not have a stronger audio volume for the mp3 play back, but this is an extra you need a navigator ain't it? then you got it...
Summary: This is my first GPS unit I purchased and overall am satisfied with it. The only things I don't like about it is that driving on the highway it is hard to hear the voice directions even with radio off. The screen is small and hard to see during day but ok at night. The map directions are about 95 percent accurate and for the price it's a good purchased. Also, I like the fact that it automatically recalculates the directions if you make a wrong turn so you can't get lost.
