"Wouldn't use this if it were FREE!"

  • Pros: Acquires satellites quickly and doesn't really get you lost. Effectively gets you from point A to B and has lifetime traffic updates included. Suction cup to attach to the window has a lever which firmly attaches it (Hands down its BEST feature!)
  • Cons: Manual entry is cumbersome and slow (i.e. dangerous if making changes while driving), map shift to display exits is difficult to use in the city, setting menus are near impossible to navigate and not intuitive at all!

Very Dissappointed - STAY AWAY

  • Summary: Poor quality product, unreliable hardware, teeny tiny fonts, tiny soft-buttons placed too closely to other hot spots on the screen, and ABSOLUTELY THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE - COMPLETELY UNRESPONSIVE. I purchased this GPS from Amazon at an excellent discounted price. Have been using a Garmin Nuvi 630 for several years, but wanted to upgrade to all the "nice" features of this Navigon (all available now from Garmin for $199 on Amazon special).

"I'll never buy from navigon again!!"

  • Pros: Clean interface, lots of options and features, laid out very nice.
  • Cons: It's been exchanged once and I still have the same problem of freezing while navigating. Just recently, the device wiped out all maps and software rendering it useless. Voice is a little on the soft side and becomes very distorted at volume.

The worst customer service

  • Summary: This Navigon was bought last Nov. I loved it at first but noticed after 2 months it began to freeze and give me fatal error messages. I tried emailing support and it takes days for them to email you back. Then I finally got an email said I needed to send it to them. I filled out the form and waited for them to email where to send it . After days I looked on line for the corporate headquarters. It has closed and the post office was looking all over for it.

"No Customer Service"

  • Pros: The unit is really nice, great features.
  • Cons: If something goes wrong, there is no longer any phone support in the USA - only email and that takes forever to get any response and then the responses are not helpful at all.

  • Summary: Navigon used to have a great product. When I asked a question at their s support web page I received this from Navigon Thank you for your inquiry. As every company, NAVIGON Inc. has to adjust its business and strategy to meet the changing market conditions. These have changed from the time the decisions for launching the products were made so we had to restructure the business after we already announced the products.

  • Cons: Bluetooth did not work Could not get me anywhere. Made several errors no matter what routing method. Very wonky user interface. Tinny voice

"This product is flawed"

  • Pros: It worked for about 2 weeks.
  • Cons: The system suffered a fatal software error. We could not download corrective software, nor return the product to Navigon. They offer NO HELP AT ALL.

Bad unit and customer service

  • Summary: I love the graphics, but the performasnce is very poor. I received an error about the phonelink.exe. The unit gets real hot and freezes up. I was in Orlando trying to find my hotel, and the unit froze up before I got there. I contacted customer service with a detailed description of what happened and recived no response yet. I will send the unit back to navigon. If they can't repair it, they can keep it. I will get another one from a different manufacturer.
