Navigon 7200T Review

LAPTOP Magazine
3 February 2009
  • Summary: The $449 Navigon 7200T is a gorgeously designed unit that's sure to enhance any dash. While we'd prefer more substance and less eye candy, it almost always performed as good as it looks. Buyers should also consider the Magellan Maestro 4350, which has similar features, such as 3D landmarks on the maps, but costs about $50 less. Still, Navigon's lane guidance and reality-view features make this device a worthwhile investment.

Navigon 7200T Review

Digitaltrends
12 November 2008
  • Conclusion: Navigon has made a valiant effort to produce a navigator that will roll with the big boys in the high-end category, but it falls well short of King of The Hill when compared to established competitors. We could give the 7200T more credit if it managed to execute the features listed on the box with some gusto, but with a speaker that sounds like a Fisher-Price See ‘n Say, a “reality view” mode that tells you to take phantom exits, and Bluetooth that just plain doesn’t...
  • Pros: Attractive interface and styling; robust POI database; accurate GPS performance
  • Cons: Nonfunctional Bluetooth; unintuitive destination entry; poor speaker performance

Review: NAVIGON 7200T

Geek.com
10 November 2008
  • Excerpt: We previously reviewed the entry-level 2000S from NAVIGON, which features a lot of bells and whistles but not all that NAVIGON has to offer. Now we’ve had a chance to play around with the top-of-the-line 7200T which features every feature that NAVIGON is bringing to market including Landmark View 3D, free real-time traffic updates, Voice Destination Entry, Reality View Pro, Bluetooth hands-free, text-to-speech, ZAGAT ratings, DirectHelp, and Speed Assistant, just to name...

Navigon 7200T GPS Navigator

PC Magazine
10 October 2008
  • Conclusion: The good-looking Navigon 7200T is loaded with features, but at almost twice the price of the impressive 2200T, it's hardly a bargain.
  • Pros: Slick design. Reality View Pro and Lane Assistant Pro. 3D Landmarks. On-route exit POI guide. Included lifetime traffic subscription.
  • Cons: Relatively expensive. Small POI database. Voice-entry feature is underwhelming.

Navigon 7200T

GPS Review
26 August 2008
  • Summary: When I started watching Navigon more closely a little over a year ago they looked like they certainly had what it took to make it in the North American market. A year later many players have exited the market, and Navigon remains– even stronger. Last year they seemed to take the spaghetti approach… fill it with every feature in the book and see what sticks.
