"Product is having lots of features but poor support."

  • Pros: Navigon 7100 is having lots of exciting features such as text to speech, voice command for the stored destinations, bluetooth for cell phone pairing, life time traffic updates, graphical maps etc. Graphical maps are very useful for complex juntions.
  • Cons: Poor support for this product. The antenna cable for this is very weired. In the starting days the stand for this GPS was working fine but later on it became loose and GPS never stays straight. Takes more time to connect in the first place.

  • Summary: I have purchased a Navigon in March and my new navigation unit made by Navigon has already gone out. I am ok as long as it gets fixed. On the navigon box it says they will email you back from support.navigon.com within 48 hours. I sent my email out June 22nd and have resent it out 4 times already. Its now July 9th with no responces. I then went to Amazon.com, at first they said they wouldn't help me, now they put a claim in for me.

  • Pros: Easy to program, easy to read. Life time traffic updates was huge selling point.
  • Cons: Occasionally directions didn't make any sense at all. Once it missed a closed road and then missed a shorter detour than what was posted roadside. Cannot upgrade online with a Mac. My issue is customer service - it's dismal.

  • Pros: Umm......can't think of any right now!
  • Cons: Where to start? Well, first, try reaching someone at Navigon for help. You can't! Send an email. No response. So, how do you get service? Good question! I cannot sync my phone with my 7100 but can't reach cust support for help!

  • Pros: Works great, for a couple of days.
  • Cons: I bought a Navigon 2000 GPS device and it worked great for 50 days. After that it would not turn on. 90 day warranty?? They say the power button is shot and it is "customer induced", so there is no warranty repair

"Company is closing down!"

  • Pros: Found this to be a great unit - WHEN IT WORKED. I needed GPS for Amarillo, Texas and the area. EVERYTIME I plotted a course for Amarillo, the unit locked up. Told by p.p. Michelle Collier of Navigon that they NO LONGER PROVIDE ANY SUPPORT! 06/22/09
  • Cons: Absolutely the incompetence of the firm. They could not fix the problem after a year and a half of my attemtps to get it fixed. Then we are told they will not provide ANYTHING to any buyer of the products.
