Summary: I bought this gps for the features and price, but have found some real problems with it. 1) POI is really poor and from what I had read, this is an understatement. 2) accuracy is off, it states you have arived a couple of hundred feet too early. 3)GPS locking is very inconsistent. 1-8 minutes.
Summary: Lots of features but the necessary features are not as good as compared to the other GPS systems (Tomtom and Garmin). I am a user of Tomtom 720. I wanted to give it a try but I did not like the quality of maps on this gps. The information displayed on the screen while navigation is limited.
Summary: When I got this product it took forever to gain a signal with the satellites. So I brought it in the house and updated it using Nagivon Fresh. The thing worked like a charm. We took it on vacation and really fell in love with the detail it had while telling you where to turn.
Summary: Partly because I'm used to a Garmin menu system, I never really got the hang of this device. I found some things so difficult as to prohibit me from doing them. For example, searching for a particular point of interest was impossible if you didn't know how Navigon had classified it.
Summary: I bought this GPS but sent it back over a week or two. The reason, and this is the ugly, it kept freezing up. Rebooting wasn't easy and it is not easy to do it while driving. So much for the convenience of a gps. The good, the display.
Summary: I purchased the Navigon 2200T for use on road trips. It worked very well at first. Then last week I pulled it out for another trip and tried to turn it on. As usual, the battery was completely drained (this might be because it defaults to going into standby, not full off, when external power is...
this unit take 30 minut to find an satlite signal !!!!!!
1 January 2009
Summary: I could belive my eyes , The navigon 2200t is a very nice and slick unit , it has great features, such as free trafic information , and lane change assitance. On the other hand of what benefit is all of these feature if you cant find a satelite signal ?
Summary: It's decent, but I wouldn't buy it again, nor would I recommend it. Here's what I do like about it: - Very compact / lightweight - Looks good - Traffic works well SOMETIMES (will cover this more later).
Summary: I used the Navigon 2200T in North Carolina for 9 days and it worked very well. The satellite acquisition was fast and the navigation was precise. I love the lane assistance, the street names announcements, speed warning and the compass.
Summary: My Garmin was stolen out of my car, so I decided to try this Navigon because it had the traffic. I suppose Traffic might be better for someone living directly in the city, but it's not worth much to me. At times, it detects/reports traffic that isn't there.
