Summary: Good: The Navigon 2200T offers free real-time traffic updates for life as well as text-to-speech functionality and reality view for major highway exchanges. Bad: The screen size is rather small. Satellite acquisition is slow. The Navigon 2200T can be the handiest and useful tool for the traffic updates and also the text-to-speech option makes the driving easier and comfortable. The device can be blissful for the highway runners.
Summary: I bought the Navigon 2200T just for fun. I know where I'm most of the time but it travel with me just in case I need a co-pilot. I love the features and all in all it was a great and fun purchase. Oh yeah, I forgot that it's handy if your the kind of parent that worries about their close family members getting from point A to point B without getting lost! And it easy to learn and 100% better than a map.
Summary: Like another reviewer on here previously owned mio basic gps I as well owned the mio 220-230 model I believe. It was a basic model but I loved it. I had to replace it. so decided to upgrade to navigon 2200. It's okay but I'm 100% sold on it. It takes forever to acquire a signal. Im sure I need to do map upgrade but last time I tried that I completely wipe out my system and had to send it back to navigon for them to reinstall the systems.
Summary: I already own a Navigon 2100 GPS. My oldest started driving about a year ago and is now venturing out on his own, needing directions to places he hasn't been before. This is a wonderful GPS! While my 2100 is my favorite, the new 2200 has the same features, just easier to use! Great for a new driver to use. It's good to know that he will be safe, listening to directions from the GPS, rather than trying to read a map that is all over the place.
Summary: I love the theme/software Navigon uses; had a very old Navigon GPS from 2007 that I bought in Italy with USA maps installed. It worked well there and here. So I disregarded all the negative reviews about the support and USA Navigon going out of business. Well, after 2 weeks I am selling it on eBay b/c the store on Amazon only had a 7 day return policy. I could not use the registration link to register my new 2200T in order to purchase the Fresh map update on-line.
Summary: Pros: - This GPS is stylish, sleek - very good interface. - Lane assist is fantastic Cons - the battery life is very short. During the day it won't last more than 10 minutes. - Started from complete shut off, it takes 3-7 minutes to get the satellite signal. - Finding point of interests is difficult because you have to navigate throuch bunch of filters or options.
Summary: Good GPS for price at the time I purchased. The price is not as competative as it was when I bought it. When I purchased this product it was by far the best price for free traffic and ability to update maps. All GPS's have issues as dose this one that is why it only gets four stars. Doesn't give perfect directions but is better than some friends tom tom and garmin units. Don't let the non brand name scare you off this is a quality unit.
