Best GPS device for that money

sbrbot, Ebay
30 May 2011
  • Summary: Really amazing GPS device with Windows CE 5.0 operating system and preinstalled MioMap 2009 navigation software and USA/Canada maps. It acquires satellites much quicker than more expensive Garmin devices and receives satellite signal better than other in rough conditions. The only drawback of this device is that it does not have SD or MicroSD expansion slot but internal 2GB flash disk could satisfy most user's needs.

Inexpensive GPS that is as good as I expected.

newpc27021, Ebay
10 May 2011
  • Summary: I wanted an inexpensive GPS unit for my job. This fit the bill. It's a nice looking unit and has a good picture though very hard to see in the bright daylight. The directions are quite good although not always on the money. The battery on mine is not very good as it won't hold a charge more than a few minutes, so I will just use it plugged in. I would say for what I paid for it, I am satisfied with it's performance.

Bells and Whistles?

sensai827, Ebay
19 January 2011
  • Summary: Pros: Very good features. Maps easy to update with enough memory to do so also interfaces with PC very well. Viewscreen is very sharp and with auto dim it is good for night travel. Cons: Battery life is not as good as advertised. You have to disconnect the power cable before you can remove unit from mount. A little slow with GPS satellite acquisition warm or cold, a little longer cold but cold acquisition usually takes a while.

So far so good

jaybird13, Amazon
3 January 2011
  • Summary: I received this as a gift, and it has been great. The screen is large and easy to navigate and I love the point of interest option as many of the places I wanted to go were easy to find without having to enter the address myself. The screen does load slow if you are indoors playing with it, but it works great besides that. This is my first GPS and so far the device is easy to use and I haven't had a problem yet.

It works!...in the USA.

Classic Cat, Amazon
3 January 2011
  • Summary: This came preloaded with the US map only. It worked fine and I really liked it. The downside is that I cannot download other countries' maps. The customer support rep claimed that there is no available map ( in this case, I wanted to purchase Canadian map but it is not available).

Doesn't work

Jazzmine, Amazon
3 January 2011
  • Summary: This GPS does not work at all. I ended up throwing it away shortly after purchasing it. All of the settings are set in CA, and I reside in PA. So no matter the address I put into it, it didn't recognize it. I even tried resetting the GPS, and it returned back to its CA settings unfortunately. A waste of money in my opinion.
