  • Excerpt: Are there still traveling salesmen? Glengarry Glen Ross types who roam about Midwestern towns wearing flannel suits and felt fedoras while hawking vacuum cleaners, aluminum siding, and snake oil?
  • Pros: Photo geotagging great for users on a mission-house hunting, scenic route mapping. Business card scanner works as advertised, with only a few fields coming up with errors. Media player can match up lyrics files to your music, enabling scrolling lyrics as music plays.
  • Cons: The camera’s autofocus takes an absolute eternity, and the shots are susceptible to even the slightest vibration, which is particularly problematic when trying to scan business cards so the software can read them. Automatic settings tended to produce badly

  • Conclusion: The C720t is very similar to the successful C520, so it remains a great unit with plenty of features. Unfortunately, the geotagging feature is poorly implemented, so we're not convinced this is worth the extra cost over its little brother, though the included TMC cradle kit is ideal if you are...
  • Pros: Great 4.3in display, split-screen technology, text-to-speech, Bluetooth, excellent maps, design, safety features, TMC-ready, 2GB internal memory
