Summary: I have be using my Magellan 9250T-LMB Navigation for about a week now. This was a replacement for my TomTom 720Go. After a lot of research, I decided to buy this model. I have been using a Navigation device in my car for about eight years. So far, I like the 9250T. It has a 7" display and a unique suction cup mount. More on the mount later. The device is easy to set up and easy to use. It has all the features I was looking for.
Summary: I had to send my first one back due to a faulty battery. Magellan replaced it on a two-way trade and the one I received has been working flawlessly. I recently went on a long road trip and it never burped. I love the Bluetooth integration but sometimes the phone does not connect automatically. I just tell to phone to connect and it does right away. I was able to download my contacts but text messaging through the device is still a work in progress.
Summary: Could have better directions for a first time user. Hard to find certain destinations if not sure what category. Once you learn how to get past the initial menu for a search, it puts up the address and gets you directly to your destination.
Pros: Tones when time to turn, screen splits and give clear view of turns.
Summary: I had a Magellan before & it lasted forever so I bought another. It has the biggest screen I have seen so it is very easy to see in any kind of weather. It has a great traffic feature & lets you know when there is a red light camera ahead. It is not as easy to use as my last Magellan but, hopefully, it will get easier in time. Overall, I am happy with my purchase. I felt it was reasonably priced.
Pros: Biggest Screen I Have Seen, Great Brand Name
Cons: Stand is wobbly & VERY hard to use, needs more features
Summary: I haven't had this gps for long but so far it works well. I have to know more about it because I used it without having the time to play with it. I don't like that it shows the road for the oncoming traffic. I only want to see the road going. Hopefully, I can deactivate that feature and leave only the area I need to see. Overall, it works well.
Summary: I tried a garmin and while it had good features; it did not have a bell tone to alert you that you are making the correct turn. It also does not allow you much time to make exit. This can be very difficult while driving a motorhome towing a vehicle. The Magellan gives you plenty of time to make lane changes and the bell tone is nice to let you know you are making the correct exit. The only feature I wish it had is to let me map out my own route.
Pros: Alerts you well in advance of exits on interstate:bell tone
Cons: sometimes it recalculate route for unknown reason
