Second time around with Magellan GPS, and I'll do it again !!!!!!

Summary: My car is a later model vehicle, but the Magellan Roadmate 9055 brought me up to date: Now I have great GPS which I can see better now because it's larger, the good news, the Bluetooth is out of this world, it work better then my smart phone itself, and loud and clear, and Text, and has Traffic Alert which is amazing telling me when there is 15 miles radius trouble near me in the car. Also has the capacity of 6" Backup screen. Just don't get no better then this.
Summary: I bought this for the big display. It is big. I have always been a Garmin guy but decided to give Magellan a try. Here is a list of likes and dislikes Like 1. Size of display 2. Ease of Menu use 3. Range of devices to attach to the dash/window Dislikes 1. Not like Garmin 2. GPS instruction is "slow" to my liking 3. Attachement devices are cumbersome and bulky I still have it, but prefer the Garmin.
Great sized screen. Bluetooth non-functional, backup camera works about 90%

Summary: "It does everything" [but not very well] I bought this because it was kind of the flagship product. It was theoretically to add Bluetooth and a backup camera to my car. I have had this product about two years now. Maps Lifetime maps was a big selling point for me. I previously had a Magellan but it was $99 to update maps, so why not just put that towards a newer model, right? Planned obsolescence.
Summary: I have used Magellan GPS units in the past and had been very pleased with them. I bought this to replace a TomTom GPS that had quit working. Initially it was great. Sometimes the cities were different than the postal address which made things complicated, but overall not too bad. Using this unit going across the country we began having difficulty on the first day. The unit would simply turn itself off. Not too much of a problem at first.
Summary: The 7" screen is incredible! I especially like the bluetooth feature that pairs to my iPhone automatically after the initial setup that keeps my phone calls handfree no matter where I'm travelling.
I am writing this review after I own this GPS for a while now.

Summary: I did love it a lot. The best feature is that I don't need my eyeglasses to operate it. Lifetime map update is cool feature too. So, sounds like no complains product. However, after I installed Magellan's desktop software and connected this GPS to my PC it got updated with a new firmware and things degradated rapidly... First it changed the routing algorithm, and I can't say the new way of routing is better.
Summary: The Magellan 9055-LM is one of the best purchases I have made on e-bay.It has all the features one could want.My son and I took a trip in our motorhome and the Magellan alerted us to delays and heavy traffic areas which saved us time .The displays are very easy to read and the unit tells you your elevation, which is really neat.I would recommend this to anyone who travels.Just a great unit!
Summary: I have a Magellan RoadMate GPS. Two stars because the functionally of the unit is good. Only two because of the rest of this review. When I bought my RoadMate it came with lifetime map updates. Recently I have have been trying to update them. We use iMacs and MacBooks at our house and for work, I can run Windows, but only in a virtual machines. We do not have a "Windows native machine".
