Summary: Large compared to modern gps's but friendly and easy to use. Good satellite reception, portable and with a loud, clear sounding speaker which makes it easy to hear the directions over driving noise. Truly a find with these features at this price point! You will not be disappointed.
A great unit with many fine features at a reasonable price.

Summary: I had my vehicle burglerized and lost my RoadMate model 360. This model 800 was a demo unit and I had to remove the SD memory card before I could get it to function properly. I was finally able to get it to aquire 10-12 satellites and now it functions as it should. Now comes the task of adding my favorite destinations. I have stayed with Magellan units because the MFGs have carried their programming forward into newer units, so I did not have to re-learn programing.
Summary: I just started a new job as a Construction Project Manager and with my new job I have to travel from site to site at different locations.
When people try to give directions to their location, I just ask them to give me the physical address and I will be there and I haven't been lost yet.
Summary: This is my second Magellan RoadMate (I cannot believe the first model cost me $1200 four years ago)and with the possible exception of the built in Lexus Sat/Nav, this is by far the easiest system I have used. It is extremely robust, easy to operate and the mounting arm & sucker works well. Value for money it has to be the best on the market and I would highly recommend this to anyone who changes cars as frequently as we do.
Summary: I bought this for my son as a Christmas gift. It was really nice and came packed in a nice case which was a pleasant surprise. He loved it and couldn't believe the great deal I got on it. I would definitely recommend it. Great Value!
