Summary: I will NEVER buy another magellan. We switched to Tom Tom within a month or 2 of buying this one. The directions were always late and delayed, and usually incorrect. The maps (even when updated) we rarely accurate.
Summary: Don't waste your money with this unit. There are no updated maps available nor will there be in the future. I bought this unit for over $600.00 in 2006. One map update was released in 2007 and that's the end, according to Magellan support.
Summary: Had to give a rating so gave it 1 star - would have preferred to leave it at 0. The only thing worse than their product is their customer service. You won't be able to talk with anyone in the US. The 800 number is direct to India.
Summary: the actually works fine but i have purchased a map update. i received the dvd but the update process does not recognize the correct serial number. i have called magellan support about 7 times over the past two weeks. each time the promise a new authorization code within a specific time frame.
Summary: Magellan customer service is nonexistent. The documentation packed with my unit says updates will be made available roughly every six months. I have had my Magellan 800 for nearly two years and not only has the company failed to make ANY updates available during that time, they gave me no response...
Summary: bought GPS unit...was advertized as "NEW" it was refurbed unit.. came with out a battery, and was slghtly dammaged.......the company Magellan will not service it and (its used)...........have stopped payment on my credit card.....and will send the unit back....
Summary: Something is very wrong with my system. Is it online and cheap because it's a reject? It gives me wrong directions, says that addresses don't exist, gives me altogether wrong addresses for the "Points of Interests", the battery doesn't seem to charge properly. I'm disappointed.
Summary: horrible unit. The processor is very slow, and always seems to be processing data when you need to make a turn. The maps are oudated and Mageelan will not do anything to help. New maps are going on sale in APril 05 2007, and will cost current owners at least $100.
Summary: 909-494-7777 12/03/06 ATT: LAURA Regarding # 33165* (part#98082*) As instructed, the GPS plus the windshield mount was sent back to TX for repair. But only the GPS was sent back to me, so I’m still missing a the windshield mount. I was told that this will resolve the problem.
