Summary: I purchased this GPS approximately two years ago and have had to replace the 12V electrical cord and the back plane mount device already. I use the device while on vacation. Total times used while on maybe three dozen times. The external electrical connections are not very rugged.
Summary: This is an old unit. It's big. The operating system is slow. It will freeze every once in a while. Magellan is TERRIBLE about their map updating. Magellan has TERRIBLE offshore customer support.
Summary: Big, bulky, but not terrible. Unfortunately when I called the Customer Service people to say that all of the sudden, for no apparent reason it just doesn't work any longer, they said, "sorry, but there's nothing we can do.
Summary: Been waiting to buy the new 760, and was excited when it arrived. For a real estate agent a good easy to use navigation system is a must. Summary: My brand new Magellan 760 is a mixed bag of Tricks. If you consider technical support, software and hardware as a priority when purchasing this expensive item you might look at another GPS brand.
Summary: i read all of the customer reviews before recommending the 760 to a friend. she purchased the unit the same day and called me back the next day to read me the riot act and explain how the unit actually works.

Summary: I bought this GPS right before my trip to Chicago and I am glad it did. Would never be able to drive in the city and the suburbs without it. It's easy to use. It has a big screen with the maps you can zoom in and move to different points to look at the map.
Summary: It's an awesome tool. For the most part. I picked this over the Garmin C330 because it can tell you what City/ County you're in with one push of a button. I need that for my job. Although, the *one* advantage that I do like about the Garmin C330 is that it displays the upcoming street.
