Summary: This Magellan Roadmate 700 GPS was in perfect shape, complete as described. My son originally bought the same model when it first came out - and paid almost 1,200 dollars. OK, it was just released, with all the fancy features that are now available on the hundred buck variety. Still, I bought one for parts, and when I found it worked better than the one I had, I traded GPS with the new one - and my antenna - and it works perfect.
Summary: I used this model to travel around Europe a couple of years back. It always got me to my destination from the Black Forest to Belleau Woods in France. Everyone I have shown it too want to buy one. I you are going to spend hard earned money on a GPS unit, go with a proven winner!
Summary: 've only been using my RoadMate 700 for a short time and my experiences echo most of the other reviews here. Update January 22, 2004: It's been almost a full month with the Roadmate 700. My thoughts now? How did I ever live without this? I've used this extensively to travel all through CT and into NH and MA. I love that I can be in a completely remote location and this device gets me home. Ever single time.
Summary: Bought the system right here on eBay from a Private seller, not a refurb shop. No instructions and I was aware it was used. Taking the chance was delightful. Having never used a GPS before, I was a little concerned with using it. All I can say is this unit never misses a turn. It tells me to make the first legal uturn if "I" do miss one. In playing with missing turns, I must say, it's pretty robust in getting you back on track.
