Summary: I have had Magellan 6000T for over a year now and it seemed to be working fine overall with the exception of an occasional freeze up. However, from the past 2 weeks, the unit does not display the map and when any key is pressed, it responds after 5 minutes.
Summary: I have had this product for over a year now and was surprised when travelling from Mtl to NYC how this device directed me to drive through off highway country roads. I have tried to upgrade to a higher version of software 1.16 with great difficulty.
Summary: I bought the 6000T in April 2007 after doing research on the internet and looking at their website, which stated that you could download maps from their website and a map update would be available in August.
Summary: I have read all of the 1-star reviews on this product and have had all of the problems people there have mentioned. 1. Locks up all the time (OS is Windows CE Core 5.0, say no more), has to be reset, loses all settings. 2. Memory card for backup restoration never has worked.
Summary: I have owned the Magellan 6000T for 8 months. 2 months of that time it has not worked because of a poor design in the car power adoptor. I opened a support case 8 weeks ago, called every week for status of the warranty part, and have gotten nowhere.
Summary: I have been a loyal Garmin user for years until Magellan introduced the 6000T. The feature set was exactly what I was looking for in just the right size package. Since purchasing in Oct 2006 the following items have occured: 1. The unit never has remembered any address that has been input.

Summary: Let me preface this review by saying I have Been around electronic navigation devices for years. I currently own a Garmin Etrex Handheld, and a Garmin 2620 Both have been flawless. I bought the Magellan 6000t because of the traffic functionality and I liked the graffic display.
Summary: We bought a Magellan 6000t and it started locking up right away. We had to reset every day loosing all info. Called Magellan after 30 days they won't send me a new one or return money. It locked up 10 times on the way to Florida and when it was working the touch screen would stop working.
Summary: This is the least user-friendly high-tech product I have ever experienced. 1. Menus are not intuitive. Menus are sometimes activated by pressing the menu button. Other times they must be backed into from a totally different button. Often it is impossible to find the action you want. 2.
