Summary: I have owned several GPS units in the past, Tom Tom & Garmin.. My Garmin got broke last year on a trip to Texas and preparing for my trip to New York this coming July, I decided to try this refurbished Magellan instead of spending another $100 on a Garmin.. I have been using it for the past week in town everywhere I go just to get use to it and make sure it will be efficient when I go out of town.. It has not let me down at all!
A must for commercial driver as back up to vehicle with built-in gps.

Summary: After a careful research about it, this GPS performed well on my trips as commercial handicap driver here in Florida. It never failed me to my hectic routes and it just did exact locations to drop my passengers. Its whistles and bells helped me drive safely as it informs in advance what comes ahead. Plotting a route is fast and simple. The only thing missing is option to start with zip code but it didn't matter much as city and street are the main points.
Summary: I have never owned a GPS of any kind but when I went on a business assignment for 6 weeks and was going to rent a car I knew I would need one. A slight learning curve but it has been wonderful.
