Summary: It did real good in Dallas TX, Hilton Head Island SC, and Savannah GA so I took this unit to Cape Breton Island a couple of weeks ago. The GPS didn't miss a beat. Took me all the way down the Cabot trail, found the restaurant and whale watching outfit, and all the way back to Sydney. Found the Seaview golf course too! All in living color! Can't ask for much better than that! Thanks to Canadian Tire In Aurora Ont.
Summary: Pros: - lifetime (of whom?) map updates: you want this ! - lifetime traffic updates.. not vital, more like "nice to have" - large screen, you will like it; - good sound; - does what is supposed to do; - seems to have good POI (points of interest) database ; Cons: - route planning is either "fastest time" or "shortest distance": i miss a third option like a combo of both; - only one voice: you can't customize, though I'm fine with one voice; - really, a lot of wasted real...
Big help in getting around. Easy to use and understand.

Summary: I was replacing my TOM TOM which stopped working. Selected Magellan 5120. Life time maps is a big plus. Having a few issues with the switch from the TOM TOM to the Magellan, but am over all well pleased.
Only if the orientation can be changed, would I would recommend this unit.

Summary: I had another GPS which I really liked but it died and this one was available and reasonably priced. There are several pros to this unit: 1) the display is large and easy to read, 2) once you get use to its processing, the unit is easy to use, and 3) the lifetime maps and traffic alerts are priceless. My major con is that the display does not re-orient to the top position as you turn.
Summary: If you're like me and you never read instruction manuals, this is the perfect GPS because it's so simple to use that you'll never have to refer to them. I figured the whole thing out while driving (which is a big no-no, I understand that). The only thing annoying about it is the interface between it and the windshield mount.
Summary: Bought this unit from Costco a couple of years ago with unlimited map updates and it's been great. The map updates is automatically detected with the Magellan software and the map is accurate to a tee. The AAA travel feature is an added bonus. The volume is loud and the screen bright. The menu navigation is not complicated and charging is quick. The GPS detection is also quick.
Summary: Very good GPS. Very intuitive to use and calcute the possible shortest route and distance with easy. Good buy. Need a mp3 player to be a complete set as compare with my previous Garmin Nuvi 750
Summary: Definitely meets our expectations at this point. We have not had much time with it yet to use it to its full capabilities, however, I am confident that it will not disappoint. The only reason for my 4/5 overall rating is that I haven't had enough time to experience all that it has to offer.
