Absolute WORST GPS ever!
4 August 2014
Summary: This was absolutely the worst GPS I have ever used. When my old Garmin was stolen I thought I would just use my phone GPS when needed and it served me well. However, when we went to explore in a neighboring country, a standalone GPS was a must.
Summary: Very disappointed in this unit. cons: Battery crap, won't hold charge, so I can only use it in the vehicle (plugged in). The Unit does not have Bluetooth so can't connect to cell phone. Cord is very short, barely reaching the front power outlet.
Summary: Garbage. My first gps and it has been a nightmare. Along with the issues others have listed here, min had such a delay between touching the screen and it actually registering, that I'd get so frustrated I'd just use my phone. I contacted them via email, but never a reply.
Summary: I have a 5120LMTX with lifetime maps. The content manager says I have a map update, but will only show a European map. The unit works pretty well, but I would not recommend a Magellan unit for anyone except a person you do not like. I will never buy another one and their support is non-existent.
Summary: I included the part number for the $25 mounting bracket they are easy to find on sale as they always break. You get a mediocre GPS with a $25 time bomb. I just retired my Garmin after 5 years, the mounting bracket is still like new.
