Summary: Magellan sent a new auto charging cord but that didn't help. They told me to plug it into the computer to charge. It did charge the first time that way but wouldn't boost the charge while I was in the car so the battery ran down before we got to where we were going. Now it won't charge either way. The manufacturer is sending another refurbished unit similar to it - hope it will operate as it should.
Summary: The GPS is very scratched and rough in appearance. when gps is in dash holder the connection for charger does not fit nor does it stay in. I need to charge gps to use gps... Im going on a road trip soon and was really needing this to work. Not happy.
Summary: Every time I plugged my charging chord into my cigarette lighter it blew the fuse. I charge other devices into the same lighter with no problem. I have made 3 calls to product support and was on hold an average of 23 minutes, the longest period being 37 minutes, and never had a call answered. The website doesn't address this issue so it was also of no help. I am completely unsatisfied.
Summary: July, 2014- I bought one of these without reading the reviews and am still kicking myself!! The maps of Europe were not included and Magellan REFUSES to acknowledge that this is possible!! The telephone consultant told me that he could not help me and that I needed to try the chatline which was also of no use. He told me that they he would contact the software engineers to tell them there was a problem. Of course there is a problem, no quality control.
Summary: Needed GPS for upcoming roadtrip..price was good...only problem IT STOPPED WORKING AFTER ONE HOUR OF USE. Spent almost 2 hours while on my road trip with Magellan CSR and could not get it to work. Returned item (AT MY EXPENSE) to Magellan (only after more than 2 hours on line with a CSR to see if it would work.) Magellan replaced it with same model....IT ALSO DIED after using for a little over an hour.
