Summary: I bought one of these new about 8 years ago and loved it . So when it failed a few years ago I went to Ebay to find a replacement , with mixed results . these units are now old and having problems and most of them on here are broken in some way .
Summary: I am used to a hand held Garmin, which I've used for boating, and was looking forward to this car unit. Overall, it is an outstanding instrument and does everything advertised. I have only 2 minor negatives. First, the instruction manual is not particularly well organized or written.
Summary: Overall I liked it. However, initially I found it a little bit tricky. There are few things that I thought were little bit less user friendly, such as, the way the maps are grouped. I.e. it says in the description that the unit comes with all US maps preloaded.
Summary: This GPS is simply fantastic. Advantage: 1. Reasonable prise. 2. Easy to use. 3. 99% accurate positioning. 4. Easy re routing in few seconds, if you miss the correct route. 5. No special map upload necessary for US. Disadvantage: 1.
Summary: The Roadmate 360 provides excellent basic information and routing, as its price indicates. Configuration is very simple and intuitive, although I wish the username feature allowed more than 6 characters. The display is perfectly readable even in bright sunlight.
Summary: I haven't tried the Garmin yet so this is a stand alone review of the Magellan Roadmate 360. This is the first portable I have used. I am familiar with the Toyota NAV system in my truck. I was able to start using it with the basic manual provided in the package.
Summary: i like it... but it gets confusing in big cities.... and it doesnt always take "oneway" streets into consideration.. you may miss the mark by a little at first but it'll get you there one way or an other. perfect for suburbia, but not down town boston.
