Summary: I found the GPS unit to be awkward, bulky and quite disappointing. It compares so poorly with my previous TomTom units or even my GPS capable cell phone. I can not see me buying another Magellan GPS unit. Life is too short to compromise that much.
Summary: I received one of these for christmas.The Item turned on perfectly,but thats about all it did perfectly.It gave me "map not found" right out of the box.I contacted Magellans pathetic customer support.When they finally replied,they told me I was basically out of luck,that they dont service this model anymore,and I could send it back and purchase a different model at a resonable rate!!! Cripes!!
Summary: Magellan Customer service is the worst customer service I have ever dealt with. They offer a free 30 day map update since all of their products ship with out of date maps. This would be a good thing except it is in the fine print of their products and their customer support email address that their website list is the wrong address. I had to get through to their customer service by posting a bad review on their website.
Summary: It stopped working after using it about 10 times , can't find any help on their web-site, and no one answers their phone numbers in their manual. Except the one number to India and they say they don't handle this product anymore. At least that is what I think they said???!!
Summary: I have had this product a little over a year under the premise (as stated by magellan) that the maps could be updated. They even sent a data cable for connecting to a pc. Unfortunately, they have discontinued the product and there is no procedure to update the maps. I never would have bought this had I known the unit could not be updated. I don't believe I will ever buy another Magellan product.
