Slow, unresponsive interface makes it unusable

Summary: After three separate tries, I finally managed to get Magellan's cartoonishly-bad Windows software to install a software update and map update to this unit. Then I tried to route to an address in Redmond, WA. For the city, I typed "R" -- and the unit locked up for 20 seconds.

Summary: First, I have to mention that there is a newer larger touch-screen Garmin model for about the same price, ( Magellan RoadMate 1700 7-Inch Portable GPS Navigator ), with basically all the same features.
Summary: This is a decent GPS unit that works well overall. The large screen is nice. The unit picks up the satellites fine and overall is fairly easy to use. The best feature is the AAA Tour Book. This has lots of good information and is a real plus if you are traveling.
Summary: Got somebody you've held an unrequited grudge against for years? Here's your chance to get even. Buy 'em a Magellan. They'll receive it with all of the high hopes that imbue us all during this aquisitive season.
Summary: Magellan RoadMate 3065 Based on Windows CE with slow processor an probably not enough memory. It laggs all the time and it's frustrating. Sometimes you type in letters or clcik on buttons and it takes 10 seconds to acknowledge it.
Summary: I had the Magellan Maestro 5500 series and I loved it until it stopped working. Replaced it with the Roadmate 3065 and it has the same features but doesn't respond as quickly as the Maestro. I like it and its a good GPS but if the price is the similar, go with the Maestro
Summary: Nice user interface but the maps are not as good as a Garmin. I tried to map to several rural locations and the Magellan's address book could not find them. I borrowed my sons Garmin and it had no problem mapping to the same addresses.
Summary: I have a lot of experience in the consumer products industry. I am going to have to tell everyone that I will pick this unit over a tom tom any day. The reasons are as follows; Faster GPS signal on boot time. Faster refresh rates on maps. Does not pick stupid routes that make you drive in circles.
Summary: This is not exactly a review of the 3065T-LM, more a review of the Content Manager software, which makes "Lifetime Maps" mean "waiting a lifetime for maps." So far, whenever I try to log onto the Magellan servers using this software, in order to update the maps and unit software, I get a message...
Summary: We are very happy with our Magellen Roadmate GPS. It was packaged well in plastic and sturdy cardboard to protect it and arrived very quickly before estimated day of arrival. It works beautifully.
