  • Excerpt:   Getting from point A to point B safely is as easy as 1-2-3 with the RoadMate 3050T GPS Navigator from Magellan. Features like TrafficKit™ Technology (preloaded onto the RoadMate 3050T) alert you to road condition, suggesting alternate routes on the fly using up-to-the-second GPS satellite data.

GPS Tracklog

  • Excerpt: The Magellan RoadMate 3050T GPS is one of the newest additions to Magellan’s line of auto navigation systems. Featuring built-in maps of the U.S. and Canada, the 30050T also includes a digital music player (MP3 and WMA compatible), a photo viewer and the SiRFstar III chipset (unlike the Magellan 860T ). A built in li-ion rechargeable battery makes it easier to use these features away from your car.

  • Conclusion: While the Magellan 3050T ticks all the boxes from traffic support via the RAC Trafficmaster Telematics service (although unlike other makers you'll have to pay a subscription service each year of £27) to being able to play MP3s, the finish just isn't there for us compared to other devices from TomTom, Navman, Garmin and Sony. Because of that you end up feeling you've been cheated.
  • Pros: Traffic data, picture viewer with SD Card support, 4GB hard drive
  • Cons: Build quality, graphics look naffy, maps very basic
