Summary: Screen is super clear and you have the option of which voice you want it to use as well as many different personalization options. The only drawback is that after a while the suction cup that attaches it to your windshield doesn't affix very well.
Summary: I ordered the Magellan as I had a similar one prior….Got a new Garmin and do not like as much as my old Magellan…Display is great…A bit non-touchy with the touch screen but fast/ accurate and ding dong…warn just as you should turn (in case no road sign) definitely great value…Easy use…I love it!
Summary: i gave this as a gift-i hope to try it soon as i have a magellan and love it-i gave it to someone who had a tomtom that i could never figure out-my magellan maestro never failed me so i hope that this magellan roadmate is equal to my magellan maestro.....
Summary: I finally entered the 21st century and bought a GPS. I am very happy with my purchase. Pros: -The 2 mile and the .1 mile warning bell for turning -The large screen -Traffic warnings with alternate routes -The ease at putting in the address (no zip code necessary) -Quick turn on -The funny way it says "space" -It gets me where I want to go! Cons: -You must be a map reader at certain points especially in the city.
Summary: we've had a Garmin NUVI for several months. Initial plan, since it was portable, was to move between cars as needed. AS anyone but us could have anticipated, there were several times "as needed" was either hard to define, or meant was needed in more than one vehicle at once. Magellan has more updated maps, but Garmin sometimes finds better routes - would it find more once updated too? Fairly user friendly.
Summary: This is my first GPS and it is pretty good for a first one. When I first read the reviews on Amazon.com it made me hesitant, but after I got it I'm satisfied. Great Features: 1) Updates fast. The map is almost in synch with the car. 2) recalculates instantly when you make a mistake following the directions. 3) map updates in response to the direction of driving.
Summary: I am enjoying my new GPS. It replaced a Garmin Nuvi so I had a good basis for comparison. The Garmin loaded up maps much more quickly, I often have to sit in a parking lot waiting for the "satellite to be acquired" with this one. But...I like that it makes a chime noise when I have to turn for those areas when it is sometimes difficult to tell.
Not the Best GPS I've Used, But Good for the Price

Summary: In the interests of full disclosure, I have used a total of three (3) GPS devices. One was a Dell Netbook (which was worthless, and can barely get a signal, outside, when you are holding still). One was a Garmin nüvi 295W 3.5-Inch Widescreen Wi-Fi Portable GPS Navigator (which was super fantastic, best GPS I've ever used). And the third one was this (obviously). So, for a straight-up GPS, you really only care about three things. First, how is the reception?
