Summary: After 13 months of use (with 7 months of non-use), this GPS would not boot up past the loading screen. After an hour on the phone with Magellan's customer service, they offered us a discounted unit (at $80) or their top of the line model discounted to $120 because I bought the unit through a third-party retailer. Not worth it when the GPS cost me less than that! Never buying a Magellan instead.
Summary: I got this GPS unit refurbished at a very good price. But coming from the "TomTom experience" I think the big cons of this unit is the User Interface. I has the tomtom 130s, ie just a low end model, so when my gps was stolen, I thought I just need another basic and cheap GPS navigator, that's why I got this model. It has at that time (1 year ago) new maps, a lot of POIs so it seems good enough.
Summary: Bought it a year ago from Amazon for $80 but was disappointed to find it was not made to use with Macintosh computers. We never could find a way to mount it on a curved dashboard. Still, it worked okay for about a year, despite some missing streets and addresses. But then recently, just a year after purchase, it has entirely stopped working: it won't move beyond the spinning second hand clock face.
Great GPS for the price. Wish it would go back on sale though.

Summary: I bought this when Amazon had them on sale for $56, should have bought two of them because the price went back up. Would have been nice to have one for each vehicle. In my opinion it was a great investment, it's works flawlessly for me so far. It's not the best thing out there I'm sure but for the price you can't beat it. I had an Alpine Blackbird before this and I haven't noticed any big differences in the two. I just wish you could get some free updates...
Summary: I've had this GPS for a few months, and I haven't had any real problems with it. Sunlight visibility is a bit of a problem (as said in the other reviews), but I expected it to be whenever the sun shines on the screen. Instead, it's when the sun is shining in your eyes (which at that moment, it's hard to see much of anything).
Summary: I ordered this product in July 2010. I leave it in the car when not using it. I got some use of it and it is very handy. However, now (December 2010) the thing can't get past searching for a signal.
Summary: So, I've had this unit for a couple of months. I've gone through many states, and even through Canada many times with it. For the most part, it was stellar. Here are my pro's and con's: Pro's: -Awesome lane assist feature. It rocks. Period. -Very good user interface for a smaller GPS. -Quick signal acquisition. -Small form factor isn't distracting (if you have a place to put it). -Beep before your turn is super helpful.
Summary: this unit freeze on the second day, and twice ask me to make u-turn on the high way. their 30 day map guarantee is a joke, I could never get the updated map from their web site, their customer support is no help and can not figure out what is wrong.
