Summary: As someone who is not tech savvy, I found this GPS easy to use. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the turn by turn directions do not stay on the screen. You have to keep pulling it up, or wait for the system to tell you when your next turn is imminent.
Summary: Kinda slow and honestly I don't use it anymore because of my iphone and google maps point to point, but it was a lifesaver when I was driving for work a lot. Interface was kind of slow and clunky, but once you set your destination everything worked as it should.
Great for someone who wants an easy to use and easy to hear GPS.

Summary: I know the 1220 is an older model, but I needed a GPS that is easy to use and if you don't use it for awhile, it will charge up fast. ANOTHER COMMON BRAND TAKES 2 hrs to recharge if you don't use it for awhile, but my Magellen works right after I plug it into the cigarete lighter and the other thing that is really good is YOU CAN HEAR IT, where the other brand I had to keep resetting the volume every time I used it because it was hard to hear.
Summary: This was my first GPS, and I was very happy with the value I got for my money. When I wanted to go to Canada, I ended up buying a new one, and giving this Magellan to my Aunt who also is in love with it. Seeing the potential it has to get her outside and into the world a little more, I'd like to think it may improve her quality of life a little as she starts slow down and becomes tempted to stay indoors more.
Interesting device that can provide some surprises.

Summary: Display is a bit weak during the day and is hard to see because it is not bright enough. It is also a bit more difficult to use then the Garmin I was using before it stopped working. It also tends to place you on a road where you have to make turns to stay on that route and not tell you that you have a turn coming up. If you know the area it isn't a real problem but if not it is an issue.
