Summary: As someone who is not tech savvy, I found this GPS easy to use. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the turn by turn directions do not stay on the screen. You have to keep pulling it up, or wait for the system to tell you when your next turn is imminent.
Summary: Kinda slow and honestly I don't use it anymore because of my iphone and google maps point to point, but it was a lifesaver when I was driving for work a lot. Interface was kind of slow and clunky, but once you set your destination everything worked as it should.
Summary: I bought a Magellan Roadmate 1220 a few years ago. I tried updating a new map July 2013 but the upgrade was 3 years old (2010) and costs $80. It's not worth it to buy a 3-year old "update." I'm generally satisfied with this unit even though at times the directions drive me around in a circle.
Summary: Look, the Magellan is a very good product but that woman's voice is totally irritating. I hate it and will return my product. Garmin gave me a choice of a man or woman's voice. I don't think Magellan realized how important voice is.
Summary: This was my first GPS, and I was very happy with the value I got for my money. When I wanted to go to Canada, I ended up buying a new one, and giving this Magellan to my Aunt who also is in love with it.
Summary: I have it for more than a year, and I had several road trips during last year. I can't say that it is the best, because it made mistakes few times, but it is good enough! In my opinion, one of the advantages of it is that it does not talk a lot, and I like it.
