Summary: Great gps for hiking boating and flying. This is not your points of intrest gps. It is used for elevation and off road use the best. I use mine in my boat and on my enduro motorcycle the most. This is my second one. My original one still works.
Get a Magellan Meridian, don't add your name to the Darwin Pool.

Summary: I do a lot of hunting and fishing in remote places or out of sight of land. Even in warm weather it only takes 1 freak storm to turn a nice day into a disaster. These Magellan GPS units are easy to use and have backtracking to bring you right back to within 9 feet of your original starting point.

Summary: I have had a Magellan gold for a long time and loved it. It always works great so My son ask me to get him a GPS. I have had no problems with mine so I got him a Magellan color which is one better than mine. The Magellan always gets great reception even in real wooded areas.
Summary: I bought the Meridian Gold new several years ago and recently bought the Color on Ebay for cheap. I gave the Gold to my wife and I use the Color. It's so nice that I may have to get one for her.
Summary: Well, I bought this GPS new in 2004 at a retail store to replace a GPS 315 I got in 1994. I still have it and it works great. I have a preference to Magellan GPS's because I also had a Roadmate 700 that I gave to my dad, I got a TomTom to replace it.
Summary: Works grewat, larger color screen a big plus. I have it mounted in my Explorer for those back country trips...hunting, etc. I replaced a Sportrak, definitely worth the trade UP! It uses the same menu's a my sportrak so there was NO learning curve.
Summary: Love the portability, still trying to figure out how to use it to its fullest capacity.( but I have not read the instructions completely yet) I bought it for its portability. I have only had it for 2 days now, so I really have not had a chance to mess around with it yet.
