Summary: the price seemed reasonable enough, but some maddening glitches have rendered this item collecting dust on the shelf. will not function when is is being charged, which does not help when you are in the car looking for a route with the battery low.
Unit works well, newer maps should be included at no charge!

Summary: I've been using my new Magellan 4250 for about 2 weeks. I can't complain about the functionality, I upgraded it to the 4.60 firmware and it seems to be working just fine & functions just as I would expect it to.

Summary: We purchased two 4250 units for Christmas despite the potential Bluetooth concern (silly us!) Indeed, we confirmed that one must re-pair the phone and GPS system each and every time one device or another is turned off.
