Sometimes it's better than nothing, sometimes is the same as having nothing
2 July 2013
Summary: I bought this because when I went to "prepaid" I lost the use of "My Navigator" on my cell phone service. It's an "ok" device as in "better than nothing" but I'm not 100% impressed with it. We went to Wisconsin Dells and tried to use it for directions to a Water Park. We only had the name of the place but not the physical address. Without the physical address, this device was worthless. We ended up googling the place and using their posted directions.
Great product easy to use easy to store easy to see, and dependable.

Summary: I bought a used GPS from a good dealer/seller on eBay, and I am quite happy with the the product and the seller. If a product is listed as used and the seller says in is in good working order, then that is what to exect. The Magellan Maestro 4250, in a whole is easy to navigate and program, and easy to store in my car.
The 4250 is a very nice unit as long as you don't ever need repairs

Summary: The Magellan Maestro 4250 is a very user friendly unit. The probelm is if you have any trouble with one, Magellan doesn't perform repairs, they will however give you a newer model at a discounted price. I found a used 4250 on eBay to replace my damaged unit at a very good price, so I don't have to learn the functions and features of a newer model. I wish companies would leave well eoough alone and quit the " new and improved" race.
Summary: it is compact. feels solid. wonderful features - aaa roadside asst, voice commands or not, planning of trips, traffic congestions. it's just the right size, able to hold in hands yet mounting in car available with ability to still see screens hear voice commands. i love the way it "drives the route with you" & at your speed not fast tracking. price was a big factor, but for all the "goodies" it contains it was worth a few $'s more. definitely recommend it.
Summary: ok here is the story , when i got it it was damaged, luckily i found a screen on ebay that was used for a little doe and snapped the good one in . after that i have used it to get to places i would have otherwise gotten lost and had my wife blaming me for getting us lost . to make it short i got this item to make my life easier . im happy, my wife is happy and now she cant blame me for getting us lost it is now her fault , ha ha !!
Magellan Maestro 4250 the next step in evolution of GPS
17 April 2010
Summary: I have loved my Magellan 750M unit that is the same unit as used by Hertz as their Neverlost but was unhappy when they stopped updates for their mapping software...Enter the Maestro 4250 as it is compact and easily upgraded thru my PC...Only time will tell if this is as durable unit as the bulletproof 750M as it is almost indestructable....The Maestro 4250 with its bluetooth capabilities makes it a valuable easy link to my cell phone for perfect handsfree operaion...
Summary: This is mt second Magellan GPS. I was very happy with my first Magellan GPS (but I accidentally run into it so I bought a new one. Magellan Maestro 4250 is very easy to use and also quick detour if you got lost or miss your turn. The one I don't like is the traffic information ( supposed to be free for 60 days, but for some reason it will not tell me about how is the traffic so I don't recommend to subscribe for it).
Summary: It was in very good shape and had been reconditioned. The Gps is very easy to use. Has many good tools included in the software that keep things simple for the user. Nice wide easy to read screen. Windshield mount works very well. Battery life good and charges fast. The power cord fits well. Documentation and instructions are good. Not the latest and greatest , but a nice solid gps that will get the job done.
Summary: This is the 4th Magellan GPS I bought in last 4 years and my whole family now have a Magellan in each of our four cars. My first GPS was a Magellan 3100 and I kind of fell in love with this brand for its user friendliness. Model 4250 is unique in many respects. Pros: The most important feature I like about this unit is the lane assist feature on the highway.
Summary: I had a Magellan 3250 that was stolen our of my car, I saw a sale for another brand GPS and bought that for a replacement (TomTom). Hated it! After about a week I decided I needed to get my Maestro back. The Magellan Maestro is VERY user friendly. I figured out all the basics right out of the box without reading the directions. It's menu is easy to navigate and you don't have to go through 5 different screens to get where you want to go like some GPS's.
