An old but good friend!

Norman E. Jones, Amazon
9 January 2015
  • Summary: Have had this item some time now Can't update maps any longer, but that is ok.Power cable plugs in enabling one to place the unit in various positions without the fear of damaging the plug. I place the unit on the seat and listen to it rather than watching the screen.

Bought the update disk for $80 horrible service if you need call them.

D. Fassett, Amazon
4 October 2013
  • Summary: I loved it until I had to get it "updated" I bought the disk and we never got it to work. Actually had my tech call Magellan to trouble shoot and they gave us nothing but grief. Use the one on your smart phone it works better and you don't have to pay for updates.

Magellan Maestro 4050 and customer service

Raymond S. Lee, Amazon
9 September 2009
  • Summary: Product is easy to use, VR command is a good feature, I have had no problems so far. Don't know how good it would be compared to Garmin. For some reason Magellan Customer Support is lousy. Very hard to make telephone contact and email response is just no damn good.

Dissappointed.

Keith, Amazon
13 July 2009
  • Summary: It's so big and the base is so tall that it blocks vision, the display is hard to read in daylight, it tells me to go the wrong way at times, the street the names appear with dots rather on the streets themselves, and it shows me driving through fields rather than on roads at times.

Magellan Maestro 4050

M. Irwin, Amazon
1 July 2009
  • Summary: We are enjoying the new device, and we look forward to some travel this fall where we can really put it to the test. California has lots of Spanish place names which are sometimes butchered by the voice, but the printed version is always on the screen when we can't understand her.

Perfect GPS

Maria Da Silva, Amazon
28 June 2009
  • Summary: A+ GPS. It is like someone sitting by your side giving directions or even better than because it is so detailed. Could not ask for better.

J. M. Flegel, Amazon
26 June 2009
  • Summary: I use it everyday , It is clearly better then the other brand I was using, far more user friendly and slightly more accurate. Only thing I wish i could do is change the keyboard to type writer configuration. Very good product for the money.

Great Product from Magellan.

Mathis Gardner, Amazon
26 June 2009
  • Summary: This GPS has great features with Bluetooth capability as well. My first GPS system I purchased was a Magellan model number 3100, but the 4050 is a big stepup. I am very satified with this GPS system.
