Summary: the Magellan GPS is the best i have ever used.when the company made the maps ,they went into detail and covered all the bases. it works in all the small and out of the way towns and cities, it even has the country roads and trails in their maps. I drive a tow truck in a small town so i need a good GPS to get me around. I have tried MIO, TOM TOM, and GARMIN, all which have gotten me lost.so far the Magellan has not let me down, or made me pick up a map book.
Summary: I have had my model 4040 for years and love it. It has saved me quite a few times. I was lost in Washington, D.C. at night and used my 4040 to take us to the nearest place to rest for the night. I would not be without it. Someday when I need to replace it, it will be a Magellan!
Summary: I had a similar unit that was stolen from my vehcile. This unit worked perfectly and I didn't have a big learning curve. Already had mounts in my pickup, boat and four wheeler so changes from vehicle to boat is easy and fast.
Summary: A quick-release mounting, an included slip-case, a large and easy-to-read screen, excellent volume, reads street names and (optionaly) exit names, all in all a really nice unit. One caveat: While poking around in the User Settings, you will encounter a section entitle Voice Recognition. It asks for a password. Don't get your hopes up: the password is something Magellan will SELL you after you buy their GPS. For only $99!

Summary: First off, I got this GPS for a great price with everything included and in excellent condition! :) It has some great options (we like it more then my husbands brand new tomtom xl) I love the address book and the bluetooth wireless calling! Along with the ight mode which automatically switches the screen to a cool black and orange look! The maps are great and the directios it gives are great too!
Summary: I had a 4040 but the post that you plug the cord into got broken off. I loved my Megallan and found this one on ebay..what a blessing. I am 68 and love to travel and my GPS took me everywhere, from Texas to California. This machine is easy to operate and a convienient size to see. Thank you Megellan for keeping me on the go.
