Summary: A Great navigational system for hiking and/ or marine traveling, but not really for cars. I believe it is now outdated so there is probably better options out there or an app even on your phone!
Summary: This is what I needed to be able to input a card with the boundaries of the hunting club I'm in. All the other 80 members have this card. The area is divided into about 50 separate hunting areas and its important to keep out of the other hunter's way.
Summary: i have owned the explorist 600 for over 5 years. I am a an avid hunter and walk alot. i use my gps for saving hunting spots -thats it and to get me back to a truck or atv. This unit works fantastic. keeps gps signal.
Summary: I like the explorist gps. I have owned one before and am familiar with them and comfortable. I am not sure if I like the rechargable battery or replaceable batteries. I was lost once a few years back and spent the night out in subfreezing weather. Never again! The explorist is a good fit for me.
Summary: After having bought the Explorist 200 and 500 and looking for the best in the series of Explorist's from Magellan, I purchased the Explorist 600. I quickly fell in love with it. From the feel and use I could tell the 600 was for me.
Summary: had one and it broke and megellan does not work on explorist 600 so i had to buy one on ebay and with my bad luck i dropped it in the river and lost it. so i bid on two more and the same person bought both of them with seconds left to beat me sounds like something fishy is going on with ebay.
Summary: I have had this for some years now (about 2 months after it was 1st released), no problems, I never had to call CS, so I can't comment on that. I have gotten is wet, snowed on, in cool weather (20's), hot weather (over 105) & dropped it a few times.
Summary: Geo cached with unit this past weekend and it was dead on accurate. Looking forward to more caching. Havn't tried any of the "features" yet but kinda busy to hook it up to the computer. But will get there.
