Never to buy Magellan again!

  • Summary: My wife bought for my birthday the Explorist 500 several years ago. After playing with it a while I decided to buy the MapSend Direct Route 3.0 for street mapping and it worked ok, not great. The software wasn't cheap and when I got it the unlock code didn't work.

Not such a good buy in the long run

  • Summary: I have owned two GPS hanhelds by Magellan. Technically, the product is ok, performs well, but the main problems surface with support, software and interface. Magellan stopped most support for my two previous devices after a couple of years, this is amazing considering that I paid $250+ for them!
