Summary: The is the perfect GPS for the hunter or outdoorsman. The learning curve is minimal and features meet and exceed my expectations. Many of the other GPS models, my friends and I have used included features that really did not add benefit, but complicated and overburdened the tasks required. The primary objectives I and my friends have is to locate simple points of interest (blinds, markings, cabin, etc.).
Summary: I had such high hopes. Device is perfect size, the screen is very acceptable, and I like the main feature sets. I have had this device for two days and it's going back and here's why. 1. there is currently no way to use Magellan Vantage Point software to create waypoints and then transfer them to the device.
Summary: I was considering this item but I learned my lesson from the last 3 Magellan products I owned. The last a Triton 1500. Much like windows XP, how long before Magellan stops the support for this. After 10 years of Magellan products and poor support I'm casting my lot with Garmin.
Summary: eXporist 310. I really did like the look of this unit and the fit of the unit in my hand. I loved the display and how detailed it could be depending on where you were. It is an extremely accurate unit once it tracks the satellites. I would certainly recommend this product to people who have owned GPS in the past. If you have never used a GPS this unit would be a very difficult unit to start with.
Summary: Didn't like the features on this. Had some good ideas with the hunting icons. Couldn't see your saved waypoints on the just view map screen. Needs some software updating . I'd rather use my 10 year old Garmin with no maps.
Summary: This GPS unit is great especially when your looking for the unit to hunt in to see if your in or out of it. I really like this GPS Unit, but the screen is very small to see. It is a tool every hunter should have in your day pack.
Summary: Small, durable, picks up a signal inside the house, buttons respond well, screen looks great... awesome product. I own several GPS units (Etrex, Triton 400, Garmin Oregon), and this is the best one yet. I hunt, geocache, hike, etc.
