Summary: I needed to locate an exact position. This is my first GPS Receiver. I am amazed at the technology and the accuracy of this handheld unit. It is equally functional under roof, in the car, woods, and open field. A pair of "AA" batteries last all day. The unit includes all the easy to understand instruction I need to navigate anywhere, especially unfamilliar terrain.
Excellent value for the money, simple and effective.

Summary: This GPS was purchased to help navigate off road trails in the mountains. The unit is very tough and simple to use. At a price point far less than most GPS devices, this unit is handy for your hiking pack or jeep. The "re-trace my steps" feature is handy.
Summary: For the price, it's a great little GPS! I use it both with my motorcycle and hiking and it's reasonably accurate, although it did show one road that doesn't exist and never has, although it would be a good place for one. (Could it be a psychic device predicting a future road?) Maybe not, but it's a lot of fun, mostly useful and a bargain.
Summary: Good electronic intruments save money and time. There are many places to buy instruments. E-bay is a good place for me to buy quality used instruments. The eXplorist 200 GPS receiver that I puchased is just what I need. By using the eXplorist GPS receiver, it will save me between $4,000, and $6,000 in survaying costs for a mineral claim layout. The WAAS accuracy of the unit is suffeceint for my needs. It is simple to use, and I love it.
Summary: This Is a good gps for the price I paid 52.00 with free shipping for this used gps this is the first 1 I bought I got it to see the top speed on my atv what was 87.5 mph and to mark the spots where I see ginseng in the woods so I can go back and dig it in the fall-it is hard to get use to but after I printed a user guide at magellangps It made it ease to use so I think it is a good gps for the Price - for my first gps so if you are looking for a good gps for a low cost...
Summary: I purchased this basic unit because it is easy to learn and simple to use. I hunt and venture deep into the woods, sometimes in areas that are new to me. With this GPS I can set a point (such as the truck) where I start from, roam all day in every direction, and at the end of the day it gets me back out. This is a very simple GPS, If I hade to do it over I would consider the 210 or above for the added features such as audiable alarms and other screens.
Summary: I've owned this GPS for about a week and now I feel I'm ready to review this thing. I was looking for my first GPS for "field use" and wanted a simple one that didn't burn batteries like crazy! This unit fills the bill. I would suggest downloading the entire reference manual if you don't get one with it. The controls are well laid out and the unit seems very well made. I like that it is water resistant which makes keeping it clean hassle free! The down side....
Summary: This 14 channel handheld gps is great, I can pick up 12 sats in my living room! The lighting is backlighting is great for sing at night. So user friendly a retarded monkey, not even trained, could use it! A single push button plots points of intrest(PI) and the "goto" operation is just as easy to use. The only option that would make this device better would be some sort of keyboard, whether on the device or as an atttachment.
Summary: Awesome - As I gently merge into the next generation of technology, the Magellan Handheld GPS receiver is an excellent addition to my collection. The GPS is easy to use and easy to navigate. It is great for a beginner, which I would classify myself as. I am very pleased with the receiver..
