Lowrance Airmap 600c not as good as Airmap 500

tarskian, Ebay
2 March 2011
  • Summary: I have used a Lowrance Airmap 500 attached to the yoke of my Mooney for many years. I keep it in HSI mode which displays an HSI like display on the entire screen. It works so well in that role that I use it as my primary heading scan in IFR flight and I keep the Garmin panel mount in color map mode for situation display.

Car yes, Truck NO!

iamevil4, Ebay
25 October 2009
  • Summary: I have the 600 in my Peterbilt. It`s a 2009. When I got it, it was already out dated. It is a GPS for a car NOT a commercial GPS. Paccar got the Lowrance at a cheap price and stick it in the big trucks, Its a rip off, Ive got in trouble already because it sends me in to a "no truck" zone.

C.Olney, Rate it all!

  • Summary: Although the size of the unit is large. The extra screen size allows for easy viewing. Point-to-point navigation is nice for family trips to answer the proverbial question ("When are we going to get there?). I bought the unit for the flexibility to transfer usage from the car to the boat. Suprisingly, intercoastal bouys are included as I am not a lake boater.
