I still like the Lowrance 600c over my other brand of GPS.

Summary: Received this GPS with very fast shipping. Just finished programming my trip destinations for my RV. Haven't used it on the road yet, but it knows where I am right now. Looks like new and I even had a film protector for the display left over from my last one.
Summary: Buyers beware of purchasing any Lowrance aviation gps. They have ceased support for all of their units with database updates effective as of last summer. And if you try to contact them via email or by phone about this, you will either get lied to or will receive no response at all.
Please Make them again Lowrance. By far the Best GPS Ever.

Summary: iWay600c was my first, about four years, ago after long search for the best. Have used the other brands since & they're all very disappointing compared to the iWay. iWay maps are much more detailed (requires 25G of the hard drive - 10 times more than most others) and the functions are the easiest...
Summary: I bought this unit after having a Lowrance 2000 and wanted to get a similar unit in a smaller package. This unit was great!!! I flew with it everyday in a part 135 operation for 2 years and recommended it to all my freight friends, which 3 of them bought.
Summary: I have used a Lowrance Airmap 500 attached to the yoke of my Mooney for many years. I keep it in HSI mode which displays an HSI like display on the entire screen. It works so well in that role that I use it as my primary heading scan in IFR flight and I keep the Garmin panel mount in color map mode...
Summary: I purchased this I way to replace one I had before. Even tho I will probably never use the marine portion of this unit, it makes it a more sought unit. It is a bit large and clumbsy but I knew this as a prior owner of I way.
Summary: Buyer beware. Lowrance no longer supports the Iway 500C or 600C in any way. No repair or repair parts are available. Lowrance no longer supports software updates and there is no more map updates past Q1 2010.
