Summary: This GPS was very well done by Lowrance, who has beenn a leader in GPS techknowledgy for years. This GPS can go down the road and take you to your selected deestination, or you can just take it through the 2 tracks that you used to booze cruise as a kid, or take it out on the lake with you. No matter where you go, this GPS keeps positioning, does your current GPS like Garmin do that?
Summary: Having compared the iWay 250c to a TomTom, a Garmin, a Magellan and a couple of other comparably priced units, I found this little GPS to be the most for the money. It is ready to go right out of the box with mapping data already installed on the 2gig SD card included. The most striking feature of the iWay line of GPS's is the mapping display. It's like looking at a real map and not like looking at a crayon drawing of the streets and roads.
Summary: It is a good (GPS) unit, and a world wide, whether you are on air or in the sea, and land, always you can point your location by this small unit, no need to buy any additional maps and details. Where ever I go, and I'm in the world. And thats why I wanted it.
Summary: I like the Iway 250c because it does a very good job as a GPS and has an Ipod built in also. It is also easy to use, I have bought two of them for my grand sons and they are very happy with them.
Summary: I love the size. It's small, so it doesn't distort or distract your view of the road. It also gives audio directions so that you don't have to stare at the unit while trying to drive. I wish it had come with an AC adapter, but it did come with a car charger. I decided to buy this item because although it was used it appeared to be in great condition -- which it was. It's accurate, compact, and user friendly -- everything that an automotive GPS unit should be!!!
Summary: I have had this unit for about 9 months.
It is relatively easy to see and the interface works well.
It generally gives pretty good directions, but (and this is huge) in October of 2007 we needed to get to Indianapolis airport from the Cincinnati area. We were guided through a series of dead end roads. Almost missed our plane. It turned out well for us, but this could be a huge issue for others.
The battery life is horrible and takes forever to charge.
