Lowrance won't fix it

valentinophoto, Ebay
20 March 2011
  • Summary: I have used my GO2 for several years with great success. The map of the Jourdan River in MS kept me on course and out of alligator swamps. But then it stopped working and would not get a fix on satellites. I called Lowrance for repairs and was told that this unit is "NO LONGER SUPPORTED". If it breaks, use it as a paperweight or throw it away. I loved the unit so much I bought another one. It has a great map for such a low priced unit.

  • Summary: The Lowrance ifinder g02 receiver is very accurate. It is spot on with a little bounce but accurate. The receiver did come with a broken part where battery is, although it was an easy fix. It is a good item to get for directions. It is the best size, not too big but not too small.

  • Summary: This is my second Lowrance GPS. The iFINDER Go2 is a good gps for the money. It picked up the sattelites quickly including WAAS. Excellent battery life. Easy to use but the screen could be bigger. I would buy another GPS from Lowrance.

Lowrance GO2 GPS Hand Held

mr.birdman1, Ebay
26 May 2008
  • Summary: Unit is small and easy to carry. The screen is too small and hard to head if you travel with it.Directions are hard to understand and it took a long time to figure it out.Not entirely user friendly.Batteries last a long time and for the most part well worth the price for a small handheld.Good for hikers or boaters, just too small for the car.

Lowrance iFinder Go2

  • Summary: Not bad for the price. This unit works as advertised and is a very useful tool. The main drawback for me is the size of the display but that would be the same for any hand held model. It would also be nice if the 12 volt power cord was included instead of having to be purchased separately.

Lowrance iFinder Go2

HNA, Soddy Daisy, TN, Amazon
2 December 2006
  • Summary: Unit is mostly used for hiking/hunting in the fairly rugged terrain of Eastern Tenn. and Westewrn N. Car. The iFinder is up and running in less than 2min, with a clear view of the S. horizon. It is just as accurate and dependable as other, more costly GPS WAAS units in our hunting club. The included US map is fun to use but not something for anyone wanting/needing a serious road navigation unit. I experience no major problems using the unit while driving.

Excellent maps, but a tiny screen...

Barry Steele "Barry", Amazon
28 June 2006
  • Summary: We use this GPS every day to find residential lots by boat on large lakes. Most important to us, this unit has excellent, accurate maps, better than the Garmin or Magellan. For the price, it is impossible to beat. Like any new tool, it takes a bit to get used to it. The menus could be easier to navigate, and in the light, the screen contrast and small (2") B&W display are hard to read, especially if you have trouble with the little displays on phones and such.
