Summary: Broken out of box, returned for another maps of Southern Ca missing bathe merry lines. No solution. Paid for Navionics Platinum, now maps work. Unit worked intermittently for 3 months, never knew if it would work or not. Then it started giving a bright flash at startup then would not power up.
Summary: I found it hard to use at the beginning, keep going to store to see if I installed correctly. Then all of a sudden everything seems so simple. If you are serious about fishing, so just interested in down scanning. You really need to watch the video tutorial.
Summary: Installed this on my 2004 Triumph 190 Bay boat and it works great! Graphics are easy to read and unit is very user friendly and intutitive. Nicest chartplotter / fishfinder I have ever used thus far.
Summary: Amazon price very good. I had the dealer install it for $75. As far as the device itself, the depth data on the charts are not very good. I'm down in Morehead City, NC, dealing with Core Sound, Back Sound, and Bogue Sound. The depths simply put are not very accurate.
Shouldn't the first priority of a GPS system be safety?

Summary: I bought an expensive boat from Bass Pro Shop which was unfortunately shipped with this GPS system. It came with no instruction. I'm sorry to say that this product is worse than worthless. As a GPS company the first responsibility should be safety.
