Summary: Well not a good experience for me out of the box. Everything installed well but unit will not "Cold start" per the directions. I've installed, reinstalled, changed battery types (Energizer to Duracell and back again). I've installed the batteries and let it sit in the middle of 3 acres with no obstructions and a clear sky.
Summary: After looking at many reviews for a variety of products, I settled on this as the best bet, and am not disappointed. One thing not made clear in the specs and comments is that you do not actually need Google Earth to review tracking history. The installation CD includes a US street map. Not as clean and easy to navigate as Google Maps or Google Earth, but it is plenty functional to do what you need to do.
Summary: This product is a classic example of a product that was probably cool and very useful ~7 years ago with 15-year old software, but it definitely shows its age against today's easy-to-use, battery-friendly devices. You start to get this perception from the moment you remove those 4 tiny screws to insert 2 AAA batteries and a very thin "gasket" that's supposed to provide "water resistance" falls out.
Summary: Amazing function in this little box. I had no problems making it work. The screen display of where my driver had been with the real time clock and MPH guage on the screen and showing his stops in red was all very nice. Nicer than I expected. It got wet one day with water inside. I shook out the water and let it dry. It continued to work after it dryed out.
Summary: I was extremely disappointed in this product because I couldn't get it to work at all, and there is no customer service contact number included to help me (or others like me who may be technically challenged). I would return it if I could.
Summary: I've had this now for a number of weeks, and it does very well. The shortcomings are well documented.... the tiny screws used to secure the battery compartment are of a horrible design; no on/off switch (which may be a blessing or curse); the rubber gasket for the battery compartment should be permanently affixed. I have the unit wrapped in a thin plastic bag (per their suggestion), because the unit is affixed to my target vehicle's exterior.
GPS works well but housing could be designed better

Summary: It simply does what it claims it will do. I usually viewed the data in Google Earth , as it lays it out nicely in a little more intuitive fashion than LAS's own map software, I did like the report (list) feature as well. All stops were recorded , and there were very few disruptions in the data recording even in difficult rural and hilly areas. I chose to mount it under the passenger seat. and it worked just fine so I had no reason to mount it anywhere else.
Summary: I received this item the package was already used. I did not purchase a used product. The CD would not download to my computer. I had to return the product and now searching for the same product from a company that will send an unused product. LandAirSea LAS-1505 Tracking Key Vehicle GPS Tracking System.
