Summary: ive used other gps receivers and at times have to reinstall drivers, computer does not recognize them. i owned my first holux 3 yrs ago, never had a single problem, so i bought another. easy install, very reliable.
Summary: This receiver has been trouble free from day 1. I use it for GPS navigation with my laptop running Streets & Trips. The 6' cord makes it easy to keep in the windshield area yet still be long enough to reach the laptop. It usually picks up around 10 satellites but even in out of the way areas I always seem to have at least 6. I would recommend this unit to anyone that wants dependable trouble free operation.
Needs good Windows drivers. Works like a champ on Linux

Summary: This receiver worked, under Windows, for an hour or so, then bombed out. I fought it for several days, installing and uninstalling many different drivers, but could not get it to work. Tried it under Linux with TangoGPS and it just plain works, every time, no problems. Got a GlobalSat on the way, giving up on this one with Windows.
Summary: Everything Works, Depending where you live of course you will get different from mine, but in the southern Californian area it usually takes 7 seconds to get a fix, with my goal of retiring my psp into a gps. It might not be the newest Model but it works for my use.
Summary: The product is fine, appears to work as described. I'm using it with my netbook and a free nautical Navigation program but haven't had a chance to test it other than seeing that it does pinpoint my current location. I am looking forward to using them on my boat this spring/summer) The GPS installation instructions were minimal I thought, one section on a large sheet that repeated the instructions in maybe 15 languages).
Summary: I purchased this one, after a sad experience with Garmin GPS 18 USB, which was a complete mess... Holux is perfect: outstanding reception, even in the buildings, easy installation, support of almost all OS (I have not tested it on Mac) Just great
Summary: Perfect. The right size and does everything you would want in a GPS receiver. There are some less expensive on the market but I've used this model before and it never let me down. It goes with me all over the world.
Summary: I bought this GPS receiver to replace a Microsoft branded receiver I had that got destroyed some time back. The first thing that went smoothly was the installation of the drivers onto my Windows 7 laptop. Once I used their diagnostic software to verify that it was working correctly, I tried it with my moving map software. It works wonderfully. I had the opportunity to try it out in a sheer moment of "where the heck am I?" on a weekend trip.
