Summary: Let my GPS charge overnight, went to unplug it to put in my car the thing was dead in less than five minutes when I unplugged it, it had a full charge. The suction cup doesn't hold up or suck up to anything in my car.
Summary: I've had my 810 for over two years now and have only used it a handful of times. The battery life is awful, just awful. And don't even get me started on the mount. It breaks so easy. And when it breaks, forget about harman/kardon support. Finally I decided to just purchase a new mount, but guess what? HK no longer makes it. I had to order it from the UK! And that's not the worst part. About into a month of having it, it stopped turning on. HK said, "OK, we'll fix it!
Summary: I really wanted this to work, as I had been looking for a PMP/GPS combination with video capability. The 810 had all the features I wanted, but had to be hard reset literally every other time I tried to use it. Battery life, regardless of whether using GPS or video was less than 45 minutes after fully charging. Hoped first one was simply a single bad lemon, but purchased and returned three units (same issues) before I gave up.
Summary: [...] I was very excited about this product when it hit the market and I gave it a try... however my excited disappeared much quicker than I anticipated. Very nice GPS with million bugs that is completely unreliable. I had many different types of GPS units in the past and this is by far worst one I ever have seen in my life. It's nice when it works but most of the time it doesn't. [...] This unit was acting up the next day I started using.
Summary: I've had the HK 810 for 3 1/2 years. Cost $400.00 It is loaded with features not available on units even today; however, the battery is so bad, all the features in the world are useless without it. I tried to upgrade the firmware and the instructions say 50% battery is needed. I have almost 2 seconds of battery...yes, 2 seconds! When I tried to upgrade, I unplugged the USB and the unit dies in; (again), 2 seconds!!
