Summary: When I received the case I was a a little disappointed. It is a nice fleece/type lining, snug and compact but I can barely get the Garmin 5" inside it. I thought it would have given me room for the clip-on back piece too, but it didn't and has no place to put it so I have to carry it separately with the case (opportunity to lose it).
Summary: For the price, Garmin should be ashamed of this product. The Zumo 660 is not bad, I'd give it 4 stars, but the Basecamp software used with it has a tremendous amount to be desired. The issue is what choices do you have. Basecamp is out dated, not user friendly and downright frustrating and I'm a regular computer user. Read a complete review here. http://goo.gl/qcvMvN Update I am changing my 660 unit rating to 2 stars.
Summary: i have used a gps dashboard mount before. it was the one with a bean-bag type foundation and it was much better than this product. the garmin portable friction mount does not stay in place. so i am returning it.
Summary: Purchased to use with my BMW Navigator IV. This is the same as the Zumo 660. Device arrived quickly. Attached my SATNAV to it and expected to see it charging. Nothing. The satnav would let me know that it detected the automotive mount by displaying a dialog to that effect. I tried both a standard usb cord connected to a usb 12v accessory plug and a known good Garmin car charger cord. Neither would charge the satnav.
Summary: This slip case is far too loose for slim sat navs such as the 3598 I had just bought. The sat-nav slips out very easily and after a couple of near disasters I knew that this was an accident waiting to happen, so I returned it. Apart from this, quality and form is exactly what I was looking for, but the priority for a case is to protect, and this case actually increases the chance of damage.
Summary: Firstly take into account I purchased this SatNav for use with my motorcycle as I was led to believe this was designed primarily for motorcycles. As a user of Garmin satnavs for a good few years now, and I swear by them, I have to say this is without doubt a big dissapointment. Starters for 10 it's like twice the price of a mid or even higher end Garmin. Garmin states this pricey piece of tech was designed by bikers for bikers.
